The journey of making our products begins with receiving milk at the plant, so let us go there and speak with a young specialist, Diana Antonovna Aleynikova, a dairy-product receiver in the canning workshop.
— What influenced your career choice, and how did you come to the plant?
— My grandmother and mother are teachers, and I categorically did not want to follow in their footsteps, but I loved chemistry passionately. That is why I studied biotechnology at the Belarusian State Technological University. Immediately after university, I went to work at OJSC «Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1» as a master of the central dispatch point of the whole-milk and dietary-products workshop.
Then I moved to Glubokoe and joined OJSC «Glubokoe Dairy Canning Plant» as a dairy-product receiver in the canning workshop, where I still work.
— Does a person who decides to become a specialist in this field need any special qualities?
— Of course! The most important qualities are resilience under stress, communication skills, responsibility and attentiveness. As well as a good sense of humour.
— Do you remember your first working day at OJSC «Glubokoe Dairy Canning Plant»?
— It feels like yesterday. I arrived, was given work clothes and taken to the canning workshop to seal product boxes; after lunch, the head of the canning workshop, Tatyana Konstantinovna Stepanyuk, took me to my current workplace.
— Does your job affect your everyday life in any way?
— With a small child, of course it does, because with my shift schedule I hardly see him. On days off, we go for walks, cook different treats together and spend time together; on workdays, I arrive when it is time to put him to bed. At first it was also difficult to get used to the noise. It is easier now, of course, but it has affected my hearing somewhat.
— Have you ever wanted to change your field of work?
— Everyone has difficult days when they want to change everything in their life radically, but then morning comes. I wake up, smile, and go to the plant. What I like most about my work is my team: we spend 12 hours together and have all become so close, which is pleasant.
— Is there an interesting story that happened to you within the walls of the plant?
— I have worked here only since April last year, and I had the opportunity to show myself at the plant's 50th anniversary celebration! The concert programme included the Miss Dairy Canning Plant 2021 contest, the first such contest in the plant's history. I was honestly shocked when I was invited to take part. Then it all began: preparation, participation, honouring. I was so nervous. But the biggest shock was that I became Miss Dairy Canning Plant 2021! To be honest, I still find it hard to believe.
— Do you plan to stay in this profession?
— I am a young specialist and want to achieve something in my life and advance my career, so I will try to work in that direction.
