Construction of the Glubokoe Dairy - Canning Factory began in 1966. The plant was commissioned on January 1, 1972, in accordance with Order No. 30 of the Ministry of the Meat and Dairy Industry of the USSR dated January 20, 1972. By this time, the first phase of the enterprise for the production of sweetened condensed milk, whole milk products, and butter had been put into operation.
On July 1, 1972, the second stage for the production of unsweetened condensed milk was put into operation.
Throughout the entire production activity at the plant, production capacities were constantly increased, and technical re-equipment was carried out.
To produce sterilized canned milk, a Swedish Alfa-Laval line was installed, and to produce sweetened condensed milk (in 1972, 1974, 1978, and 1990), German Wiegand-8000 vacuum evaporators were installed.
In 1980, a whole milk substitute production workshop was built with a Czech-made VRA-4 dryer installed in it, and in 1987, a domestically produced OSV-1 dryer was put into operation. Since 1996, the production of whole milk substitute was stopped, and the workshop began producing nonfat dry milk, as well as periodically producing dry ice cream mixes and, starting in 2004, whole milk powder.
In 1984, two American Angelus filling and seaming machines were installed on the sterilized milk production line.
Initially, two domestic Sal-1 tin-can production lines (Simferopol) were installed in the tin-can workshop. In 1985, the workshop was modernised and a Blema line made in the GDR was installed; a second identical line was installed in 1988. In 1999, a third German-made Blema-Kerchais line for producing welded-seam cans was installed in the workshop. Installing this line improved the quality of both the cans and the canned dairy products.
Following the renovation of the whole-milk production workshop in 1992, a sour cream production department and a department for packaging products into bags were separated from it.
In the packaging department, automatic machines of the M6-ORZ-E brand, manufactured in Lithuania, are installed for packaging milk into plastic bags. In 1996, an M6-OR2D2 automatic machine, manufactured in Lithuania, was installed in the department for packaging sour cream into polystyrene tubs. In 2002, the semi-automatic packaging unit UFP-1M (manufactured by the Novgorod Machine-Building Plant) was put into operation.
In 1998, three Italian carton sealing machines made by «Siat» were put into operation in the canning workshop.
In the oil mill in 1977, instead of the previously existing oil production line, an OLA-1 line was installed, and after reconstruction in 1982, an FBFTS/1 line manufactured in the GDR was installed, with a second identical line installed in 1989.
In September 2007, a new Italian pasteurization and cooling unit manufactured by Frautech was installed and put into operation.
In 2011, a new Italian automatic filling and packaging line for sweetened condensed milk in metal cans was put into operation.
In July 2012, a production line for sterilized drinking milk in 0.5-1 liter «Brick Aseptic» cartons was put into operation. 8 new jobs were created.
In December 2014, the reconstruction of the tin can workshop was completed, and equipment for the production of welded tin cans with a capacity of 600 cans/min by «Blema-Kerchice» (Germany) was installed.
In 2017, the implementation of the innovative project ”Construction and Modernization of a Plant for the Production of Dry Whey and Dry Dairy Products“ was completed. The company is now able to produce demineralized dry whey (up to 90%), a range of dry dairy products, as well as an innovative product—the «Lactumin» feed additive.
Today, the enterprise continues to increase its production capacity, expand its product range, and carry out active measures to promote its brand in both the Belarusian and foreign markets.
