Today we will take a look at life in the canning workshop of Glubokoe Dairy Canning Plant. Like the other workshops, the canning workshop is a very important link in the chain for creating dairy products. The team here is considered one of the friendliest and most cohesive. That is why today we are speaking with Anna Viktorovna Mekhovich, the shift supervisor, and asking her a few questions about her team.
– Tell us how you became an employee of the Dairy Canning Plant and where you worked before.
– The Dairy Canning Plant was my first workplace. After finishing school, I was hired as a seasonal food-product inspector, and at the same time I enrolled in the correspondence department of Velikiye Luki Academy. Valentina Aleksandrovna Shalakhay, then head of the canning workshop, transferred me to her workshop, and that is where my production career began. I worked in every technological operation, from filling to packaging. Then I studied the technology for producing our dairy preserves and worked in the laboratory as a chemical and bacteriological analysis laboratory assistant. After graduating from the Academy, I worked as a forewoman, and today I am a shift supervisor. I have now worked in production for 26 years.
– How would you describe the work of your workshop's team?
– The team in the canning workshop is good. Of course, everyone is different and each employee needs an individual approach. I believe I managed to do that and establish contact with everyone.
Certainly, there are situations when production needs require staying late or coming in on a day off. My shift (11 people, including me) always meets me halfway. I am very grateful to them for that.
Our team is, first and foremost, a friendly group. Together we share joy, get through difficult moments and support one another in hard times. They are all different, but I love them as they are.
